than traditional quartz, ensuring longevity and
resistance to wear and tear. This durability makes
it ideal for use in crystal lighting, where the
elements are often subject to handling and
cleaning. Its unique manufacturing process allows
for larger pieces to be made than natural quartz
mined from the earth.

COMPOSITION

It has the same chemical composition as organic quartz, giving
it the same prismatic qualities. The inherent inclusions within
Optic Haze Quartz scatter light, creating a softly
diffused glow. This diffused light is gentle on the eyes
and adds a warm, inviting atmosphere to any room,
making it perfect for LED crystal chandeliers. The inherent
inclusions within Optic Haze Quartz cast unique
patterns of light and shadow on the wall.

NATURAL VARIATIONS

Every piece of Optic Haze Quartz is unique and distinct.
The cloudiness and density of each piece vary, making every
crystal one-of-a-kind. The cloudiness comes from microscopic
inclusions of fluids that have been encased in the genuine
quartz used to produce our man-made Optic Haze Quartz.

Schonbek cannot batch or sort Optic Haze Quartz pieces based
on the amount of cloudiness or its density – however, this
ensures that every piece is truly one-of-a-kind.

PINPOINTS

During the production process, while cooling from liquid form,
small air pockets are captured in the Optic Haze Quartz. These
air pockets contribute to the unique patterns found in each
piece. In rare cases, these air bubbles may break the surface,
adding to the individuality of the crystal.

FEATHERING

Feathering patterns are delicate, wispy designs within
the crystal. They occur naturally due to uneven cooling
when the crystals are made.

Feathering adds contrast, depth and dimension to Optic
Haze Quartz. When light interacts with these internal
structures, it can create striking visual effects.

UNIQUE INCLUSIONS

Some Optic Haze Quartz pieces will exhibit blue or black spots
within them. These spots are randomly formed during the
production process, contributing to the genuine and unique
appearance of each crystal. Depending on the crystal size and
overall effect, these spots are a desirable trait, enhancing the
piece’s natural beauty.

COLOR STREAKING

Optic Haze Quartz pieces might include off-colored
cloudiness. However, these variations are small, and the
finished crystal element will never be completely off-color.
These subtle streaks and variations contribute to the
character and allure of each piece, ensuring that each
